Ryan Fisher and Danny Steyn set back-to-back track records at the inaugural race at Dominion Raceway Virginia

Young Ryan Fisher triumphed over his older and more experienced team mate, Danny Steyn to win the very first Spec Miata race at Dominion Raceway in Virginia.

Ever more remarkable is that Fisher completed his first Grand Slam, qualifying on the pole, leading every lap, and setting a new track record in the process.

In Sunday’s race, Steyn who qualified on the pole, was able to lead most of the laps until traffic skunked him and he was passed by Bryan Henderson and Ryan Fisher.

Fisher made a slight bobble and Steyn was able to pass him for 2nd with Fisher finishing 3rd. Steyn set a new lap record of 1.36.933 in the process.

Other Rossini drivers on form included Duncan Ellis, Adam Molaver, Xavier Calderon, Jason Connole, Adam Culley and others.
