Danny Steyn Puts His Rossini Powered Spec Miata On Both Poles And Wins The Barber National

Rossini driver Danny Steyn had the Spec Miata field covered at the weekend’s double Rational at Barber Motorsports. Steyn absolutely crushed the field in qualifying, running more than 1.7 seconds under the lap record to record an incredible time of 1:46.42.

Steyn dominated Saturday’s National to win by 14 seconds, but in Sunday’s National Steyn was punted off the track at Turn5 on the opening lap. After the wreckers pulled Steyn from the sand trap he set after the field, lapping around 1/2 second faster than the leaders.

Steyn also won Saturdays ST-L in the rain, and finished 2nd to Cliff Brown in the PRO-IT.
